Trio Boost for Hucknall

Gary Sucharewycz, the new manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South club Hucknall Town, moved….

….swiftly and successfully to re-sign striker Alex Ford on loan until the end of the season.

The tall forward joined NPL Premier Division Ilkeston FC on a one-year deal following a successful trial after being spotted playing locally for AFC Beeston.

A player who is seen as having significant potential, he scored thirty-one goals in twenty-three games for Beeston in 2011/12 and has scored seven times whilst on loan with Hucknall this season – being one of the few plusses for the Yellows.

Joining Ford are goalkeeper James Martin from Grantham Town and experienced defender Mathew Millns from Gresley FC.

Martin is a young keeper who signed for the Gingerbreads from neighbours Stamford AFC as cover, and made his debut at Nantwich Town in September.

Millns joins from league rivals Gresley, where he had two spells.

An experienced defender, he has also seen service with ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties Leaguers Shepshed Dynamo, Grantham, Clipstone Welfare, Eastwood Town and Carlton Town.

All three are hoping to make their debuts today against Halesowen Town.
