Martin McIntosh, manager of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Buxton, has secured the services of…

…..forward Shaun Tuton as the former Matlock Town player put pen-to-paper for the Bucks.

Twenty-two-year-old Tuton has had two spells with the Gladiators, returning two them part-way through last season after a prolific spell at Belper Town.

Tuton will join up with another new signing, Liam Hardy, in the Bucks forward line for the coming campaign – Hardy having signed a permanent deal from Conference North side Harrogate Town following a highly-successful period on loan at Silverlands.

The majority of last season’s squad are expected to return for the start of pre-season training in two weeks along with several new recruits and triallists.

One player who will not be returning though is forward Lee Morris, who has signed a contract as player/assistant-manager at ambitious Toolstation Northern Counties East League side Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Morris scored 47 goals in ninety-seven appearances for the Bucks and on departing the club as gone on record thanking everybody at the Silverlands – especially the supporters – for making his time at Buxton one of the best of his career.
