Vanarama National League North club FC United of Manchester have re-signed Lewis Lacy and have made George Thomson`s loan move from Chester FC a more permanent one.

In August FC United has announced that defender Lewis Lacy had taken up the offer of a football scholarship in Syracuse in the USA and left the club.

Lacy numbers Curzon Ashton and Ramsbottom United as his previous clubs.

FC United have also signed George Thomson from National League side Chester FC on a permanent deal.

Thomson, 23, impressed Steve Burr in a trial last summer and eventually signed from King`s Lynn Town in January on a short-term deal.

The ex-Nottingham Forest trainee netted two goals in his eight appearances and his performances earned him a new twelve-month contract in May.

However, he has failed to score in a dozen league games this term, although seven of those appearances have been as a substitute.

Thomson, who spent time at the Glenn Hoddle Academy after leaving Forest, moved to King`s Lynn from Histon in 2012 having had spells at Jerez Industrial and Hinckley United. He scored 37 goals in 111 games for the Norfolk outfit.
