Vanarama Conference club Grimsby Town have signed Rotherham United midfielder Nicky Walker on a loan deal to the transfer window.
The 20-year old started out with the Millers as a youngster and went onto make his first team debut whilst still in the Miller’s youth system.
He has since had a successful loan spell at League Two side Wycombe Wanderers, along with team-mate Daniel Rowe.
There had been a concern that the player had broken his wrist and the move to Town would have been off, but, although an Xray has revealed a cracked bone, Walker was given the go ahead to continue playing and he reported for training with the Mariners this morning.
The deal was completed ahead of Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline and is set to travel to AFC Telford United on Saturday.
