Blue Square Bet North club Bishop`s Stortford have taken striker Lewis Wilson on loan from npower League Two side….

…..Northampton Town on loan until the end of the season.

Wilson scored nine goals over two stints with troubled Kettering Town in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division but was taken back to Sixfields yesterday ahead of the end of the temporary deal, which was due to expire at the end of this month.

The Cobblers signed Wilson from ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League side Newport Pagnell Town in January 2012.

The young striker from Milton Keynes also played for the Rushden & Diamonds youth team after a successful trial.

He is a natural goalscorer with quick feet, and can play as a wide midfielder as well as up front.

In October 2010 he made his first appearance at first-team level for the sadly now defunct Diamonds when he appeared as a substitute in the Hillier Senior Cup win over Daventry United.

He also had `work experience` spells in the UCL with Northampton Spencer and Newport Pagnell.

He also helped Diamonds youth team reach the final of the Midland Youth Cup and at the end of his scholarship, he joined Newport Pagnell on a permanent basis in July 2011, before being awarded a contract at Sixfields after a trial spell.

He signed a new contract in the summer of 2012.
