Following on from the news of Gaz Singh signing for Vanarama Conference club Kidderminster Harriers last week, Midland League Premier Division club Tipton Town have announced that forward Noble Rumsey….
…..has secured a trial with Sky Bet Championship giants Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Zambian international Rumsey, 18, will be joining the Wolves training facility later this week after impressing their head of recruitment, Stuart Webber.
Rumsey said: “I’m extremely excited, considering Wolves is such a great club with great supporters on the cusp of qualification to the Premier League next season. It’s a big opportunity for me and I’ll be focused on trying to secure my first professional contract at such a big club.”
Tipton manager Nick Pugh said: “My assistant Wes Cox and I are over the moon for Noble to get this opportunity to go out on trial at such a massive club.
“Having spent six years as a youth there myself, I know how good the set-up is, and Noble will really benefit from being in that environment. He’s a top kid and has been a pleasure to work with, and we wish him the best with this opportunity.
“You often only get one chance in a career, and we’ve told him to take it with both hands.
“On the back of Gaz’s move to Kidderminster, we’re immensely proud of our crop of young players who have progressed well this year in difficult circumstances.”
