Conference South club Boreham Wood have announced that a full Watford first-team will play Coventry City in a pre-season…..
…..friendly at Meadow Park this summer.
The game will be played on Wednesday, 30th July with a 7.30pm kick-off.
Wood chairman Danny Hunter said: “The game will, we hope, showcase Watford’s new summer signings and promises to be a great pre-season work out, for both the Hornets and Coventry.
“We have always had a great relationship with Watford during my tenure as chairman and as their pitch renovation works are ongoing, we were very happy to step in and help our neighbour out.”
Hunter continued: “Our pitch is already in great shape, our ground looks great full and our newly-completed 790-seater West Stand will give Watford and Coventry around 1,290 seats in total.
“The ground capacity for this fixture is set at 3,500 and as such, due to the high demand, it will need to be all-ticket.
“It is a measure of how much our pitch and facilities have improved in recent years that Watford are comfortable with us holding this fixture on their behalf. The tickets will now go on sale at our box office.”
